7 Days Trek  In Desert (Mhamid El Ghazlane region)

Day 1 :Marrakech to Erg El Yahoudi :

Transfer from Marrakech to Erg El Yahoudi in the Sahara Desert. A long drive through the south of the country passing over the Tichka pass 2260m then lunch in Ouarzazate city (the Hollywood of Morocco ). You continue  the drive across the Draa valley to Zagora town and then your camp is in Erg El Yahoudi. 9 hours of drive.

Day 2 :Erg El Yahoudi to Oued N’ame :

You start your trek after breakfast to Oued N’ame walking towards the west direction across a large bare plateau and have lunch under acacia trees. Then you carry on to get your camp at Oued N’ame. 4h30 of walk.

Day 3 : Oued N’ame To Oued L’alache :

Depart after breakfast from Oued N’ame to Oued L’atache. You continue trekking through sand dunes, and meet groups of camels grazing over Tamaris trees. You spend your night in a bivouac after 5 hours walking.

Day 4 : Oued L’atache To Erg Chigaga :

After breakfast, you walk via a very remote desert area and have lunch under palm trees in Fam Tiza . After that you continue via very stony small hills (Hamadas) to the large plateau of Chagaga where you spend your night in camp.  6 hours walking.

Day 5 : Erg Chigaga To Bougarn :

Walking toward the eastern direction via a large dry plateau to get to the other side of Oued L’atache where you will have lunch before you go on the way to Bougarn area where your  set up the camp. 5 hours of walking.

Day 6 : Bougarn to Mhamid village :

Today you get to walk throughout some sand dunes in a very gorgeous quite area before you get  Mhamid town  and then transfer back to Ouarzazate having lunch in Zagora town on the way and spend the night in  hotel in Ouarzazate.

Day 7 : Ouarzazate to Marrakech :

Early breakfast, the crew will load the car then you’ll start the  journey back to Marrakech with some resting stops on the way to Marrakech, enjoying the views and have lunch/drinks.The drive takes you through the World Heritage of Ait Ben hadou kasbahs and you visit El Glaoui Kasbah in Telouat region.  After that you have lunch in Tizi n Tichka before continuing the drive to Marrakech. 6 hours driving.
